60th Grammys

Five releases are nominated in the category BEST REGGAE ALBUM. The names  Chronixx (Chronology), Damian Marley (Stony Hill), Morgan Heritage (Avrakedabra), should come as no surprise to us as they have been dominating the reggae scene this year. Also the Hawaiian reggae artist J Boog (Wash House Ting) and California reggae band Common Kings (Lost in Paradise) are other nominees.

This is the second Grammy nomination for Morgan Heritage after they won in 2016 for Strictly Roots.

Damian Marley, having won for Half Way Tree (2002) and Welcome to Jamrock (2005) is going for a third win

Hawaiian reggae artiste J Boog have been nominated twice his Rose Petals (EP) was nominated last year. This will be the first nomination for both Chronixx and California reggae band Common Kings.
