The Ministry of Agriculture has sought to distance itself from a video with graphic sexual content circulating online and says it has reported the matter to the Cybercrimes Unit of the Jamaica Constabulary Force.

In an email response to a Loop News query, the ministry said, “we ask that you note that the claim that an individual from the ministry is involved (in the video) is incorrect. The matter has been referred to the Cybercrimes Unit.”

The one-minute video making the rounds on social media shows two males engaged in a sexual activity while being taped. A follow-up post suggested that one of the men in the video is a senior employee of the Ministry of Agriculture.

It is the second time in just over a week that a government entity has sought to distance itself from a video with graphic sexual content.

The Firearm Licensing Authority (FLA) recently described as “malicious” a claim that one of its senior employees was involved in a 28-second amateur video showing a woman receiving oral sex from a man. The FLA called it “a blatant attack on the integrity and reputation of the organisation” and said it planned to launch a formal complaint to the Cybercrimes Unit
