Mentally Ill Man Breaks Into Station, Steals Uniform And Directs Traffic

Thee High Command of the Jamaica Constabulary Force is still awaiting details from the St. Elizabeth Police Division regarding the incident in which a man of unsound mind donned a police uniform and carried out traffic checks.
A member of the High Command said the information would come from Commanding Officer of the St. Elizabeth Police, Superintendent Catherine Lord.
It’s reported that the man went into the Junction police station last Wednesday night while the guardroom was unmanned.
According to a report from RJR News, the mentally ill man stole a police uniform, vest, belt and a helmet.
He then proceed to Red Bank the following day, dressed in the clothes and carried out traffic checks.
That’s when people started noticing that he was mentally ill and called the Junction police.
The man was escorted to hospital for treatment.
